Jonathan Uptin
Master of Ceremonies & Celebrant
Composure under pressure. Assured delivery.
For more than three decades in live broadcast television, I worked in environments where clarity, composure and timing matter.
That same experience now shapes the way I guide events - whether hosting a corporate awards night or delivering a ceremony that carries personal meaning.
The focus is never on performance. It’s on presence.

From newsroom discipline to meaningful moments.
One lesson becomes clear very quickly: stay composed when the unexpected happens.
Live events - whether corporate, celebratory or reflective - demand the same judgement,
awareness and calm control.
An awards night may call for energy and pace.
A commitment ceremony calls for sensitivity and steadiness.
A memorial or living wake calls for quiet respect and understanding.
Different moments. The same presence.

Ceremonies
Thoughtfully crafted ceremonies to honour life’s most meaningful moments.
Weddings
I am currently completing a Certificate IV in Celebrancy as part of the pathway to becoming an authorised marriage celebrant.
Until registration with the Attorney-General’s Department is complete, I’m unable to solemnise legal marriages.
In the meantime, I’m honoured to offer a range of meaningful ceremonies including vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, baby namings and living wakes.

Honouring Life’s Moments
Not every meaningful moment in life is defined by law - but many deserve to be acknowledged, celebrated or honoured with care.
From vow renewals and commitment ceremonies to baby naming celebrations, living wakes and memorial services, I work closely with families and individuals to create ceremonies that feel genuine, personal and thoughtfully delivered.
Each ceremony is shaped around the people involved - their stories, their values and the moment they wish to mark.
